Velvety Maca-Beer-oni & Cheese with Sausage
This hearty dish is a favorite here at Uncle John’s. Why? Well, for starters, it includes four of our favorite food groups: Sausage, beer, cheese, and macaroni. Add a bit of Cayenne Pepper and Garlic and you’ve got a spicy hot entrée for a cool Fall evening.
1 lb Uncle John’s Pride Mild Sausage (Cut into small pieces)
Penne Pasta 12 oz Velveeta Cheese (Cut in small cubes)
12 oz Shredded Cheddar Cheese
1 Cup Whole Milk
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
1/2 tsp Black Pepper
1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper
1/2 Cup Beer
First, boil the penne pasta do an al dente, follow the instructions on the box for this. Then, cook the small slices of Uncle John’s Pride Mild Sausage in a skillet until it has a well browned look.
In a small saucepan over a medium to high heat, add the beer add simmer until reduced by half.
In a large saucepan at the same time, set this to a medium heat and add Velvet Cheese and Milk and stir this constantly, as it melts. Add in salt, garlic powder, black pepper, and cayenne pepper to this. Next, in small amounts add in the shredded cheddar cheese, continuing to stir, while adding. Next add the beer and stir until combined completely. Drain the pasta and add this beer cheese sauce mixture and sausage. Stir until completely combined and enjoy!
