Smoked Sausage Sandwiches

During the week, making dinner can be hectic. Cooking a meal after working and helping the kids with homework can be a very stressful. We have a solution for your family. Smoked Sausage sandwiches are a perfect meal that can be on the dinner table before you know it. We have a few recipes that will make dinner much easier.

Asian Sausage Wraps


  • 1 package Team Realtree Mild Smoked Pork Sausage
  • 2/3 cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup Hoisin Sauce
  • 2 and ½ cup packaged shredded cabbage (coleslaw mix)
  • ½ cup shredded carrots
  • ½ cup chopped bell pepper
  • ½ cup sliced green onions
  • 1/3 cup coarsely chopped honey roasted peanuts
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 6 large flour tortillas


  1. Cut Team Realtree Mild Smoked Sausage lengthwise. Then slice into ¼ inch slices. Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium high heat for about 3 minutes. Add sausage and cook. Stir frequently for about 3-4 minutes until lightly brown. Remove sausage, set aside, and drain skillet.
  2. Combine mayonnaise and hoisin sauce in a large bowl. Next, add sausage, cabbage, carrots, red pepper, green onions, peanuts, and cilantro. Toss together all ingredients into they are well coated with mayonnaise and hoisin mixture.
  3. Place tortillas in the microwave by stacking them on a plate and covering them with a damp paper towel. Microwave for 30 seconds at a time until they are warm. Place 1 cup of sausage mixture onto each tortilla. Fold bottom edge up and over the middle filling. Fold side edges in and roll up the tortilla.

Saucy Smoked Sausage Sandwich


  • ¼ Medium yellow onion
  • 1 Large carrot
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 1 package Bean Brother’s Mild Country Smoked Sausage Little Links, cut into ¼ inch slices
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 1 and ½ tablespoon Worcester Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Dark Brown Sugar
  • 6 slices Cheddar Cheese
  • 6 Hamburger Buns


Cut onion, carrot, and celery into small pieces and pulse in a food processor until finely chopped. Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium heat and cook the smoked sausage sandwiches until slightly brown. Add the onion, carrot, and celery. Cook the vegetables until they are soft, about 5 minutes. Add ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar. Cook for 6-7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Spoon filling onto the buns. Add slices of Cheddar Cheese and serve. 

Pitas with Smoked Sausage and Creamy Mustard Sauce


  • 1 package Team Realtree Mild Smoked Pork Sausage
  • 2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 onion, cut into thin slices
  • 1 green, red or orange bell pepper, cut into thin strips
  • 6 whole wheat pitas
  • 1/3 cup plain non-fat yogurt
  • 1/3 cup non-fat sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon spicy brown mustard
  • 1 small clove garlic, minced
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper


Cut smoked sausage into ¼ inch slices. Heat extra virgin olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat until hot. This should be about 3-4 minutes. Add smoked sausage, onion and bell pepper. Cook for about 6-7 minutes, stirring frequently. Vegetables should be tender and the smoked sausage should be slightly brown. While this mixture is cooking, combine yogurt, sour cream, mustard, garlic and black pepper in a small bowl. Warm the pita bread according to the directions on the package. Top each pita with 2/3 cup of the sausage mixture and drizzle with about 2 tablespoons of the sauce from the mixing bowl.
